Raleigh County Cemeteries

We live in Beckley West Virginia, in Raleigh County. We've been working on genealogy with some of our family members for many years.

Sherry and I have been working with Find-A-Grave for about a year. If you haven't been to their site, http://www.findagrave.com/, check it out. I don't think we appreciated how much help it would be until we started looking at pictures of our ancestors' tombstones. It makes it real in a palpable way.

We try to get out once a week and visit a new cemetery. The most interesting way is to find one close by, preferably a smallish one, where people have requested photos. 

So we are starting a list of the cemeteries we've visited with directions, notes, links, etc. Feel free to browse around, and leave us a comment if you like.
